Using Digital Math Manipulatives In the Classroom

Using Digital Math Manipulatives In the Classroom

When Covid-19 changed our world, I came across this website created by Julie Smith.  By using a google slide, she compiled a collection of digital math resources for teachers and students to use in the classroom.  Most of the compilations are resources originally found on-

When I found this site during NTI, I was so excited because I was able to help my students visualize math concepts without physical manipulatives. I continue to use it in my classroom.  Just this week, my students used the site again to help visualize fractions.  The students were able to play with digital fraction pieces to help solve for equivalent fractions.
What I like about these resources is the simplicity and variety of manipulatives.  There are digital counting bears, reknereks, fraction tiles, geared analog clocks, polygons, baseten blocks, and so much more.  I recommend this site to any math teacher or parent.
